James Derek Chitty
Derek Chitty started his career working during the summer in the warehouse at a Fire Protection company at the age of 16. After college, he began working as an apprentice in the service department of the same company and after making the move to Austin, Texas, quickly worked his way up to Foreman. His design career started after a motorcycle wreck guided his retirement from field work. Driven by a desire to achieve and a vision for what quality Fire Sprinkler Design should be, Derek Founded JFP Design in December of 2020.
Outside of work, Derek spends his time as a songwriter/musician, working on classic cars, and too many other hobbies to list.
